Typography
It's All About That Text
Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when displayed. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs.
Instructions: In this lesson, you will be creating a type based design! With a combination of type and imagery, you will create a design that speaks to the viewer in more ways than one. You should be able to legibly read the text in your design as well as see well organized imagery that compliments and interacts with it. This project will require you to take a step forward in expressing your creativity and coming up with a concept that you enjoy. I have attached multiple photo ideas as well as tutorials to help inspire you. *You will be required to look up a new Illustrator or Photoshop tutorial or use one provided below. This technique must be present in your completed design and the link must be submitted with your completed design. NO IMAGES left No Live Tracing (unless its your sketch or it is approved by Ms.W) Please start by sketching out your ideas and have them approved. You may use both Photoshop and Illustrator for this assignment, however, everything must be drawn by you and all text should be added though Illustrator. Tutorial Examples:
